This service provides the Barry University community with different types of multimedia equipment for use on the Miami Shores campus, assisting users in the operation of multimedia equipment in rooms around campus, and the troubleshooting of classroom multimedia equipment.
What is included
The following is a list of the equipment available from which to request from the Conferencing & Media Services department:

- Microphone System
- Overhead Projectors
- Slide Projectors
- Video Cassette Player
- Video Projection Screens
Hours of operation/equipment availability
- Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 10:00 pm *
- Saturday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm *
- Sundays/Holidays: Closed (unless otherwise noted)
* The Conferencing & Media Services office may be vacant at times while staff are out on campus. Multimedia equipment is not available for use outside the hours listed above unless prior approval has been given by Conferencing & Media Services staff.
Requesting multimedia equipment and services
- Please place requests for multimedia materials at least 24-HOURS in advance, and provide detailed information regarding the request (see request form).
- The Conferencing & Media Services department will take work requests for a new semester/term no earlier than three weeks before the new semester begins.
- Students who need equipment for class presentations must have their instructors make the necessary arrangements with our department. Only faculty/staff may order multimedia equipment.
- The individual or department is accountable for restitution of damaged or stolen equipment, should it occur during the class or event.
- It is the customer's responsibility to inform Conferencing & Media Services of cancelations or early dismissals.
- Customers should have a proper Barry ID to make reservations.
- Certain multimedia equipment is not for outdoor usage. Please contact a Conferencing & Media Services technician at (305) 899-3765 for further details before placing a request.
- Special events, university wide and events requiring more than 2 locations, such as Orientation and conferences, require 5 business day advanced notice for processing and approval.

What happens next
You will receive an email confirmation message once the request for multimedia equipment has been assigned.
