Welcome to Barry University!! Now that you have access to your account, this guide will give you the basic information and steps that you will need to follow to familiarize yourself with our university services:
Account & Email (Office 365) Information
A BarryNet account is created for every newly registered student. It provides access to all campus and on-line resources. Your BarryNet email account is your identity on the network. It is imperative you do not share your password with anyone. Password changes are required every 180 days.
Email accounts are hosted by Microsoft, you are provided with 50 gigabyte (GB) of e-mail storage, OneDrive for Business 1 terabyte (TB) of storage, Office Online, and the Office suite can be installed on 5 personal devices.
You can find information on changing your password at any time as well as for information on creating strong a password and managing your recovery email address and phone by visiting Accounts and Passwords.
Virtual Online Resources

Virtual applications such as Student Planning, Canvas and Email can be accessed by visiting http://go.barry.edu, login with your email address and password.
Learning Management System (Canvas)
You will manage your registered classes through our Canvas portal. All your courses published by the professors will be available here. If you ever have issues with Canvas please contact your professor first. If they cannot assist, please contact the Canvas Support Hotline for Students 1-855-976-8669 or the Office of Distance Education at distanceeducation@barry.edu. The IT support Desk can only help you log in to Canvas.
Student Housing
If you are planning to live on-campus, log in with your student email and your password to campushousing.barry.edu so that you start your housing process.

Wireless Internet connection
Wireless access to the University’s resources is available throughout the Miami Shores campus, as well as at remote Barry University locations.
Barry Wireless provides secure, wireless access to BarryUWireless wi-fi, and access requires authentication using a BarryNet account. Visit Wireless Connectivity for information on how to configure your cell phone, laptop, tablet, and for a listing of wireless locations.
Connect your gaming systems, smart TVs and other devices to the Wi-Fi network by registering your device.

Personal software and computer purchases
DoIT provides discounted software and computers through special purchase programs with Microsoft and Dell.
Barry Printing And computer access
There are over 174 computers available for students to use throughout campus, including 96 laptops that can be checked-out for up to one day (24-hours) through self-service kiosks. Students can use our Papercut Printing System from public access PC’s around campus, or from their own device to printers located throughout campus.

Technical Issues and Support
