Move, replace, pick up a printer

This service replaces, pick up, or moves a multi-function printer (MFP) or network printer.  All moves outside of the Miami Shores campus will incur a moving fee based on the number and type of device(s).  Your department will be notified of any charges and will need to approve the cost before any work is performed.

 

What is included

  • A multi-function printer or network printer is one that is maintained by the University’s contracted vendor, USIS/Dex.  ​
  • This service provides for the coordination of physically moving a printer from one location to another.
  • This service provides for the coordination of replacing or removing a printer.
  • When requesting this service please include detailed information about the original location and the new location as well as a contact number and times available.

 

Exclusions or Nonstandard Features

Exclusion

  • Personally owned, department owned printers are not included in this service​.

Faculty and Staff ​

 

Service Level Agreement

  • After this service is requested, a response will be given within 1 business day
  • This service will be completed in 3 business weeks. ​

 

What happens next

You will receive confirmation from Dex and/or a member of the Division of Information Technology.
