Manage your Account Recovery and MFA Settings - with QuickLaunch

You can manage both your Password Account Recovery and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) options from one page.  The four options on the page are:

There are three Password Recovery options available to use if you need to reset your password. Please note this information is also used for Multi-Factor Authentication.

  • Security Questions
  • Email Recovery
  • Phone Recovery

  • Security Questions
  • Email Recovery
  • Phone Recovery 
  • Authenticator

 

Visit  My Account Recovery Settings.

Enter you Barrynet Email AddressPassword and click Sign in.

Click the tab you would like to update the settings of your choice. 

 

  • Security Questions – When this option is used for Password Recovery or Multi-Factor Authentication, you will need to answer two of the four questions. 
    • Update existing answers or choose new questions and answers, and then click Submit.
    • When completed you will receive an on screen message, You have successfully saved your changes.

 

  • Email Recovery – When this option is used for Password Recovery or Multi-Factor Authentication, an email will be sent to both the primary and secondary email addresses listed.
    • The Primary Email address cannot be updated.  This is populated by information in Workday for employees and Colleague for students.  This can be updated in Workday or Colleague.
    • To update the Secondary Email address, click Update, enter a new personal address for Verify your email address and click Validate.
    • verification code will be sent to the personal email address you entered.  You will have 60 seconds to retrieve the code.  After 60 seconds, you will need to click the link Resend security code to receive a new code.
    • Enter the verification code and click Submit.
    • When completed you will receive an on screen message, Email address saved successfully.

 

  • Phone Recovery - When this option is used for Password Recovery or Multi-Factor Authentication, an email will be sent to both the primary and secondary email addresses listed.
    • Click Update, Select Country, enter your cell phone number, and click Verify.
    • verification code will be sent to your cell phone.  You will have 60 seconds to retrieve the code.  After 60 seconds, you will need to click the link Resend security code to receive a new code.
    • Enter the verification code and click Submit
    • When completed you will receive an on screen message, Phone number saved successfully.

 

  • Authenticator – This option is only used as an additional choice for Multi-Factor Authentication.  (Note:  This is being rolled out to the campus in the near future.)
    • Click Authenticator tab and click Next.
    • Download Google Authenticator.
    • Launch Google Authenticator on your device and Begin Setup.
    • Scan the barcode or enter the code manually into Google Authenticator app and click Next on the webpage.

 

  • Enter the authenticator code from Google Authenticator in the webpage and click the Register Google Authenticator button.

  • When completed you will receive an on screen message, Google Authenticator registered successfully.

 

  • Once you complete all of your update click the Logout button at the bottom right-hand corner.
