Make your document accessible

An accessible document is a document created to be as easily readable by a sighted reader as a low vision or non-sighted reader. This knowledge base article give guidance for making an existing PDF file and Microsoft Office document accessible by using internal tools for each application.  Adobe Pro use the Action Wizard to make your existing file accessible. Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word have an Accessibility Checker to make an existing file accessible.  Making a document accessible is easiest when you are in the original stages of creating a document.  This article outlines best practices for making new an Excel spreadsheet, Outlook email message, PowerPoint presentation and Word document accessible.
