Adding a network printer

Windows 7 and 10

1. Click Start and type \\mfpsrv01in the search box.

2. Locate the printer from the list and double-click on it. The networked printer should be labeled with the name (e.g. DOIT-543-21).

 

3. If you are connecting to the printer for the first time, you will receive a warning popup asking if you trust this printer. Click Install driver, so the printer drivers can be installed on your system.

4. Once you have clicked Install driver windows will begin to copy the printer driver files to your system..

5. When the installation is complete the printers queue will open.

6. If you wish to make this printer your default printer, in the same window click Printer and select Set as Default Printer.
