All courses that are official University courses for registration have an automatically created Canvas course site. This service, provides the manual creation of a Canvas course site for use by faculty to design or build a course before the official course site is created. Canvas course sites may also be created for approved usage by faculty, staff, students when other university resources are not available or applicable.
What's included
- Manual creation of a Canvas course site with no expiration date
- Addition of manually inputted individual(s) with the account role of Teacher who will maintain the course site
Please provide the following information:
- Name of individuals who will maintain the site
- Title of academic course the site is related to OR requested name of the course
- Purpose or intended use of the course
Exclusions/Nonstandard features
Canvas administrators have approval over manually created course sites. Instructional design and maintenance of manually created sites is not provided, however training and adequate resources are provided to maintain sites.
Who receives this
Service Level Agreement
- Respond within 24 business hours and resolve within 24 business hours
What happens next
After approved, the manual course is created and a notification is sent to the requester.
