This article details the recommended guidelines for properly cleaning and disinfecting university owned computing equipment, which includes (but is not limited to):
- Desktop, laptop and tablet cases
- Monitors/screens/displays
- Keyboards and mice
- Printers and Multi-function copiers
- Office Phones
Use alcohol-based wipes or sprays containing at least 70% isopropyl alcohol, and let the surfaces dry thoroughly before use.
*** DO NOT use sprays directly on the surfaces of electronic devices - instead spray onto a soft lint-free cloth, then use the damp cloth to wipe the surfaces.
