Request a Canvas Course Shell (not for courses automatically created)

Canvas course sites are automatically created for all courses listed in Colleague once the course schedule is published in Colleague. In addition to supporting online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses, Canvas can also be used for a variety of non-instructional purposes.

What is included

A Canvas site for purposes such as:

  • Developing a course that is not yet available in Colleague (e.g., a master course used to build and store content before the official course is created)
  • Sharing information and communicating with students in an academic program through non-graded activities
  • Employee training and professional development
  • Departmental, school, or organizational repositories

Requests are evaluated regularly, and additional information may be requested to ensure an appropriate fit for Canvas.
