How to connect to the BUGuest wireless network

We have created a network called BUGuest for visitors such as friends, parents, and other users to access the Internet while on campus for a duration of 4 hours (connection will need to be renewed after 4 hours).  When initially connecting, there is a consent page similar to those you see when connecting to other guest networks.

  • Gaming, media, or other devices connected to the guest wifi have no ability to acknowledge consent, and need to be registered using the mydevice.barry.edu page.  The BarryUWireless network is optimized for speed, access, and overall performance compared to the BUGuest network, so active students and employees should connect to the BarryUWireless network.

  1. Open your Wifi/network options on your device, and find the BUGuest wireless network

  1. Click on it to try to connect.
    1. On phones, click again to Sign in to Wi-fi network: BUGuest (some phones may have this appear as a notification) to open the agreement window.
    2. On computers, wait for the browser to open and load into the agreement window
  2. On the agreement window, click on the box to Checkmark for “You must consent to the following to access the internet".

  1. Scroll below and click Connect to the Internet

You should now be granted access to the Internet!

REMEMBER: BUGuest network connectivity last for a 4 hour duration. After 4 hours, users will need to renew the connection by disconnecting from the network and reconnecting by following the above steps again.
