ExamSoft and Canvas Course Sync Request Procedure for Department Coordinators

To establish the integration for your courses, each department coordinator must submit a list of the courses that need to be synced each semester. Please complete the template and submit it prior to the start of the term.

  • User accounts and enrollments flow automatically from Canvas to ExamSoft once linked.
  • This workflow applies specifically to the ExamSoft Legacy Portal (not the Enterprise Portal).

Overview

Establishing the course link integrates Canvas course rosters directly with ExamSoft. Once the administrative link is established for a course, user accounts and enrollments will flow automatically from Canvas into ExamSoft.

You will no longer need to manually create classes, students, or instructors in the ExamSoft Legacy Portal. Please allow 24 hours to reflect enrollment changes.

Required template information

The template requires the following fields for each course offering:

  • Course Name: Official course rubric, section, and term code (e.g., NUR-321-01.26/04)
  • Term: Academic term and year (e.g., Fall A 2026)
  • Department: Academic unit or department name
  • Primary Instructor: Full name of the primary instructor
  • Instructor Email: Barry University email address of the primary instructor

Please note that this process applies only to the ExamSoft Legacy Portal and does not apply to the ExamSoft Enterprise Portal.
