Video - Passkeys in Microsoft Entra ID

Setting up a passkey to your Barry account requires use of the Microsoft Authenticator app. If you have not installed and set up your Barry account to the Authenticator, please follow these steps first: Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication For Office 365 - with Microsoft / Video Tutorial
1. Follow the onscreen instructions on your mobile device to set up the passkey by opening your Microsoft Authenticator app.

Step 1):
Click Create a passkey option in Authenticator app.

Step 2)
Start creating the passkey by signing in with your Barry account.
|
Step 3)
Go to your device's settings to allow authenticator to be used as a passkey.

Step 4)
Once allowed, continue.
|
Step 5)
Passkey is now created.
|
Step 6)
The passkey option will appear as a verification method within your authenticator app.

| Note: your mobile device screen may appear blank for a few seconds for the passkey to be created. |

2. Sign-in as usual to a Barry online resource such as emails, Canvas, Student Planning, etc.
3. Follow mobile device on-screen prompts.

Step 1)
Pick your Barry account (or sign in with your Barry email address).

Step 2)
Choose option to use your passkey instead.
|
|
Step 3)
Choose use a phone or tablet option.
|
Step 4)
If you are logging into a resource on another device, use your device's camera to scan the QR code.
If you are logging into a resource on the same device that you have the passkey on, go to Step 5.

Step 5)
Note: Connect your device to Bluetooth (if not already) and trust the connected device.

4. You will then be signed into your Barry resources!
